Hey HEALers! 💙 Come join HEAL and GEMRU for our Stop the Bleed Workshop! ❤️‍🩹🩹 Sign Up form is in the LinkTree. There’s only 25 slots! “The number one cause of death after a traumatic injury is bleeding. GEMRU (Gator Emergency Response Unit) offers a Stop the Bleed course covering the basics of first aid for a bleeding emergency. The course includes a PowerPoint presentation covering the basics of emergency response for life-threatening bleeds alongside hands-on practice of how to correctly apply a tourniquet and how to pack a wound. We also cover what you can find inside Stop the Bleed kit, which are located with AEDs around campus. This course is free of charge and participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Stop the Bleed certificate.”

Then come to HEAL’s FIRST service event of the fall, where we will be making bracelets for A Girl’s Place, a local organization that empowers and supports young girls! Our goal is to make 200 bracelets with encouraging messages for 5 year old to middle school aged girls. We hope to see you there!
